Abstract

340,127. Cooling-towers. BRANCZIK, K. W., 10, Spencer Road, Chiswick, London. Dec. 16, 1929, No. 38571. [Class 29.] The walls of the tower are of venturi form and the interior of the trunk portion 3 is of straight line elevation from the ground to the neck portion 2. The top portion or mouth 1 may be curved or of straight line elevation. The interior surface may be stepped and the exterior surface may have a parabolic, hyperbolic or other curved outline. The tower may be built of brick or stone, or of concrete, reinforced by stainless or ordinary bars or expanded metal; or it may be built by covering a framework employing composite material or wood as stiffeners. Stacking as described in Specification 284,018, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], and distributing elements as described in Specifications 289,313 and 289,314, [both in Class 29, Cooling &c.], may be used in the tower.
