Brackets.-A lamp bracket comprises a plurality of telescopic tubular elements and a flexible element or elements of substantially nonstretchable material situated within, and adapted to prevent separation of, the tubes. In the form shown, the tubular bracket a, b is pivoted on a bolt h between lugs f on a wall plate d and a cord m, chain, or the like is connected at one end to the bolt and at the other end to an eye l on the slidable part a. Rubber or fibre washers r are interposed between the part b and the lugs f, and may be enclosed in a tubular member j. The stem q of a lamp, such as described in Specification 341,492, [Group XI], may be secured by a nut o to the outer end of the bracket. When the bracket comprises three or more parts, each part is connected to the adjacent part by a separate cord or the like.
