Biscuit - boxes. - The lid of a container for biscuits &c. occupies half or more than half of the transverse perimeter of the container and is provided with inwardly directed flanges or ribs disposed on the inner faces of the top and front p o r ti o n s overlapping some of the walls of the container. Ribs e are provided on the top and front sides a, b of the lid. Ribs f, g may also be provided on the lid and on the bottom of the container respectively. Strips of rubber &c. may be disposed between the adjacent faces of the ribs and the walls of the container to ensure airtightness. The lid may be loose or it may be hinged to the top or to, the bottom of the container. The container may be circular, elliptical, polygonal or any other suitable shape in crosssection.
