Savings' boxes; coin action, weight.-A savings' clock has a two armed lever 15, 16 frictionally held by a spring on the winding axle 13, so that, when the clock is wound, the lever is rocked thereby causing a resilient pin 20 on the arm 15 to engage the balance wheel 21 to stop the clock and the arm 16 to project through slots 22 into a coin shoot 23. A coin inserted through a. slot 24 hits the arm 16 and rocks the lever back to start the clock. An arm 26 of a spring-controlled locking pawl 26, 27 engages under a lateral extension 25 of the arm 16 to prevent the lever 15; 16 from being released by shaking the clock or by a blow. The arm 27 enters the coin shoot above the arm 16 so that the coin first disengages the locking pawl before actuating the lever 15, 16. Fraud, preventing; coin-slit closing-devices.- In order to prevent the lever 15, 16 from being actuated by the insertion of a long thin article, the coin slot is normally covered by the arm 2S of a two armed lever 28, 29. A coin during insertion acts on a bevelled edge of the arm 28 to move this aside against the action of a spring 31, and cause the, arm 29 to engage the extension 25, so that the lever 15, 16 is locked when the coin slot is uncovered.
