Abstract
338,740. Vereinigte Aluminium- Werke Akt.-Ges. Nov. 29, 1928, [Convention date]. Heating by electricity. - A device for heating lyes and acids comprises a container a<1> surrounded by tubular coils e<1>, e<2> communicating with the interior of the container and serving also as the heating resistances. A return conductor f is arranged between the coils and the electrical connections a.re made to the mid-points of the coils and the return conductor. The ends of the coils and the return are earthed. The arrangement is non-inductive. The coils are of lead and are arranged with the copper conductor in insulation g. The vessel a<1> is lined with lead a<2> and the insulation g is surrounded with heat insulation d.
