Abstract

338,252. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Akt.-Ges., and Dietzius, H. Sept. 3, 1929. Foundations and supports; mounting rotors; driving arrangements. -An electric driving- arrangement for highspeed vertical spindles comprises, in combination, a driven spindle 9, so thin and long that it is sufficiently flexible to allow of adjustment during rotation to the axis of the centre of gravity of the load: a hollow shaft 6 forming the rotor shaft of the motor in which the flexible spindle is fixed at the lower end; bearings 7 for the shaft 6 arranged below the rotor; and an elastic medium 4 interposed between the stator casing and a rigid support 5. Specifications 251,954, 261,849, 307,523 and 317,291 are referred to.
