Abstract

Ladders.-The wooden rungs of ladders are provided with grooves on their under surfaces to receive galvanized wire stiffeners, the ends B of which are passed through mortices in the side bars and are then turned downwards and forced into the side bars. The ends of the stiffeners may be bevelled as shown at C.
