Abstract

Shelf and like fittings. - Enclosed bodies for road vehicles such as delivery and postal vans are provided with circular shelves, trays or like supports which are rotatable about a central vertical column or about spaced vertically aligned bearings. Fig. 3 shows a fitting in which the shelves e, trays l, &c. are adjustably mounted on a central column d and the shelves may, if desired, be resiliently mounted as shown by means of springs m or the column d may rest on a spring in the socket c. Fixed or removable shelves o, p, Fig. 2, may also be provided. The trays &c. instead of being mounted on a central column may rotate on transverse bars fitted in the vehicle or be mounted in a skeleton frame t, Fig. 7, mounted on pivots u and supported by rollers v. Fig. 9 shows a fitting comprising a frame x from which articles may hang by means of coat hangers &c. the frame x being carried by a column having arms z so that the fitting may he swung through the door when the latter is open.
