Toasting-appliances. - In a reversible toaster attachable to the front bars of a grate by hooks 2, the food holder is pivoted to the horizontal portion of an inverted U-shaped member 9, the vertical limbs of which are slidable on the guide bar 3. A rod 10, for sliding the member 9, is attached thereto and passes through the cranked end 4 of the guide 3. The food is held between wire members 7. In a modification, the bar 3 is replaced by a pair of parallel wire rods.
