Grilling and toasting apparatus. - A grilling or toasting-device comprises a twisted wire handle 1, the ends of the wire being bent outwardly at 8, 9 and then downwardly and upwardly to form U-shaped slice-holders 12, 13, and two or more additional holders 17, 18 are secured to the portions 8, 9 by twisting and, if desired, soldering. The holders 17, 18 may be longer than the holders 12, 13, and the portions 10, 11, 19, 20 slope inwardly. In a modification, a tubular handle, having a hanging- hook, is used, the food-carrier being made of four pieces of wire, the ends of which pass into the handle. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the carrier is of the suspended reversible type and the handle is telescoped. A slotted or perforated back plate 7, bifurcated at 24, is suspended from the handle 3 by a pin 25. The members 12, 13, 17, 18 are slidably adjustable in lugs 26 on the back plate 7 and are secured by set-screws 27. The swinging of the carrier is limited by a stop 28, and hooked extensions 29 of the members 12, 13 or 17, 18 may be provided whereby the device may be attached to a grate bar.
