Abstract

336,377. Vaughan, H. P. B., and McCracken, M. L. Sept. 18, 1929. Contents, delivering; fittings, internal.-In a card case having an ejector for delivering the cards one by .one through the end of the case, the ejector 4 works in a slot 3 in the front of the case, is operated by a button 4a and carries at its inner end a rubber or other friction disc or pad 4b which engages the foremost card in the case; the card case may form one half of a cigarette case. One or both sides of the case may be bevelled adjacent the delivery slot 1<a> or one or more rollers may be provided to prevent the cards sticking at the corners of the case as they are being ejected. Springs 2, 2a at the back of the case force the cards against the ejector, the springs 2 bearing on the cards near the slot 1<a> and the springs 2<a> adjacent the pad 4<b>. The end 1<b> of the case is provided with a hinged flap 1<c> for use in filling the case and the springs 2, 2a may be depressed by connections from the hinge when the flap 1<c> is opened or a finger-operated catch may be provided for depressing the springs while the case is being filled.
