Abstract
335,831. Baer, A. Dec. 7, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 295,537. Valves.-In packing-means for a rotary valve as described in the parent Specification, the cylinder pressure on the packing-piece 11 is counterbalanced by a single lever 56 provided only at one side of the member 11, instead of by several such levers as described in Specification 315,258. On the opposite side of the member 11, that is the side lying in the direction of motion of the valve, a locking-bolt 60 is fitted. The lever 56 is fulcrumed at 59 and engages a pin 55<a> which is acted on by a diaphragm 51 exposed to cylinder pressures by a passage 48.
