Abstract

335,572. Arnold, H. H., and Maddock, C. June 24, 1929. Vacuum cleaners.-A number of beating members 8 are connected by flexible arms to radially exetnding elements integral with a rotatable spindle 7 located within a suction hood 1 of which 4 is the suction tube. The flexible links may be replaced by arms composed of Leather, rubber or the like and the beating members may be formed of rubber, wood, or metal, and shaped as balls or discs. The spindle 7 may be driven by belt or gear transmission from wheels mounted within or outside the nozzle or from a motor spindle.
