Abstract

326,428. Hoover, Ltd., (Hoover Co.). July 5, 1929. Vacuum cleaning-apparatus. - A brush and heater for use in a suction sweeper comprises a cylinder 30 mounted on a spindle 32 within the suction hood 25, and provided with re-entrant portions 35 within which are mounted freely rotating circular brushes 36. The surface of the cylinder is also provided with a rib or bead 39 which assists to agitate the surface being cleaned. The cylinder is rotated by means of a belt drive 34 from the fan spindle to the pulley 33.
