Systems for transmitting music.-A dual programme distributing system includes a split low-frequency programme output, Fig. 1, and a high - frequency programme output to the same distribution lines 16 - - 16i. The lowfrequency transmitter has a master first stage comprising a valve amplifier 6 with an input transformer 3, the primary 4 of which is matched to the supply line 1, 2 and the secondary 5 is shunted by a condenser 9 to short-circuit high-frequency signals. The valve 6 is coupled by a common transformer 10, shunted by condensers 12, 13 to absorb high-frequency signals, to the grids of valve amplifiers 15 - - 15i in parallel, each of which operates a district line so that uniform signal strength is obtained over subscribers' branch lines. The high-tension current for the output valves is supplied through a chokecapacity feed 22, 26, 24 25 to prevent direct current reaching the district service lines if transformers 17 - . 17i break down.
