Oil heating-stoves.- In an oil stove comprising a cylindrical heat radiating body or casing, the portion 17 of the casing at the height of the burner is of glass or other non- corrodable material, the parts above and below it being of metal; the corrosion of the casing normally occurring in the vicinity of the, flame, is thus avoided. In the stove shown, the cylinder 17 is held between the upper and lower metal portions 18, 19 of the casing, which are secured together by tie rods 20, rotation of the cylinder being prevented by the engagement of a lug 27 on its upper edge and a notch 26 in the part 18. The cylinder 17 is preferably made of low-expansion heat-resisting glass of the type described in Specification 100,738, [Class 56, Glass].
