Abstract

Refrigerating, absorption systems for.-In continuous-cycle inert-gas systems, two or more evaporator coils 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 or other conduits are connected at several points E<1>, F<1>, G<1> in such a manner that the inert gas entering by a pipe A is divided in parallel between them, while the condensate is admitted from a seal C to the top turn of one coil, and diverted through the top turns of the other coils in succession and then back to the second turn of the first coil and so on in a single continuous flow. Baffles D - - G are placed at the connecting points to divert the liquid. Upright cylindrical vessels with internal baffles and cross connections may be employed.
