Abstract
335,009. Telefonaktiebolaget L. M. Ericsson. Oct. 1, 1928, [Convention date]. Thermionic detectors and modulating systems. -In a modulating or de-modulating circuit having two valves with push-pull connected grids and parallel connected anodes, the reaction of the unode load upon the control voltage is com. pensated by the transference from the anode circuit to each grid, of a compensating voltage of the same phase and amplitude. The input to the grids 6, 6<1>, is taken from the ends of an impedance 11, the tapping 12 of which is connected to the grid bias battery 10, through a coil 13 coupled to the anode coil 8. By a mathematical treatment it is shown that as a modulating system, the device removes certain harmonic frequencies normaIly produced by the anode load, and the dynamic characteristic of the device is made equivalent to the static characteristic. The device may function to suppress the carrier frequency. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification using screen-grid valves for neutralizing the reaction of the anode load upon the control voltages. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
