Furs; rotating-tool apparatus; endless band tool apparatus.-In a machine for brushing and ironing furs and pile fabrics, brushing and ironing elements are so arranged that these operations are continuously alternated. A suitable machine comprises alternate ironing surfaces 13, 14 and brushing units 16, 17 mounted on a block 15 supported by a shaft 9, heating units 12 being provided for the ironing surfaces connected through contact rings to a source of electric supply. In a modified construction ironing and brushing units 28, 29 are mounted on an endless chain 26 so that they can be traversed over the face of the material. Suitable electrical connections are provided for heating the units 28.
