Drying fabrics in long lengths.-In apparatus for drying fabrics of the kind in which the fabrics are suspended in festoons in the drying-chamber, the festoons are formed between bars 1, 2, which are rigidly connected by rods e to the links of an endless chain a, and open apart as the chain passes over the wheels b, thus enabling the festoons to be completely formed as the fabrics enter the chamber.
