Foot-arch supports. - A boot or shoe has a metatarsal support detachably secured by a fastening means to the inner sole thereof wherein the fastening means is movable over a definite area relative to the lower surface of the support so that the position of the metatarsal support can be varied. In a counter-sunk portion of a recess b in a curved metatarsal support a is mounted a rotatable disc d adapted to be retained by a ring f. The flanges of a press-button fastener g engage the sides of a slot e in the disc d. The support is retained in the selected position by the points k of the ring-retaining rivets which penetrate the inner sole. A spring pressed ball m in the pressbutton engages with a central notch in the base of the recess to hold the support in its normal position.
