Seed drills.-A machine for sowing seeds at regular intervals comprises an interchangeable dredging belt or chain b mounted on corresponding wheels d, e in a seed box M and carrying spaced buckets or cups c standing out on spurs of wire or the like, and of a size and shape suitable for the particular kind of seed to be sown. The dredger discharges the seeds into a tube f leading to a shoe g. The seed box used corresponds to the kind of seed to be sown and is provided with a charging opening n and with a screw cap or plug p to facilitate emptying. The belt may be driven from the travelling wheels or roller r by change-speed gearing, or through a connecting-rod a. The cups c may be interchangeable and may each carry one, two, or more seeds.
