Trantsfer mechanism.-A coin-freed scoring- apparatus for games in which the score is marked on dials by index hands operated by external means and which is locked after the completion of a certain score. The counting mechanism comprises a units drum 6 operated by a handle 5 and a tens drum 41 both revolving on a shaft 16. The units drum has two projections 36 accommodating a spring-controlled plunger 37 upon which is mounted a roller 38 running on a cam 39, the cam being fixed to a bracket 15. The plunger 37 rises on the cam 39 during the second last tenth revolution of the units drum to contact with one of the projections 40 on the tens drum during the last tenth revolution of the units drum and so to turn the tens drum through one tenth of a revolution. Ten somewhat U- shaped guides 44 are provided on the inside rim of the tens drum, the guides coacting with a spring-controlled roller 42 mounted on the bracket 15 to accurately position the tens drum after each tenth of a revolution.
