Abstract

Presses.-In a trousers press, the means for hinging the bottom board to the top board comprises a bar secured to the top board and hinged to one end of a link the other end of which is engaged by a resilient member connected to the bottom board. The link d, which is of rectangular formation, has one end d<3>, hinged to a bracket d<2> on the underside of the bar c<2> connecting the two members c of the top board. The lower end of the link engages the turned down end of a resilient member e on the bottom board a, a bracket g<4> being provided which has an inturned end g<6> maintaining the link in position, and retaining notches for the side members of the link d in the part g<3> secured to the bottom board. The free side of the top board is engaged by pressure screws f, or the pressing means described in Specification 332,728 may be employed.
