Abstract

Optical apparatus, - In means for the reproduction of sounds through photoelectric devices, phonograms from different sources recorded separately act on different parts of a single photoelectric device from which they are reproduced conjointly. As shown, rays of light from sources 5, 6 pass through sound records 1., 2 on a film a and act on parts 7, 8 of a photoelectric cell b, such as a selenium cell. The phonograms 1, 2 may be arranged side by side so that the two occupy onlv the full width of a single photophonogram of the usual kind, each phonogram being about 1 mm. in width.
