331,318. Dicker, S. G. S.., (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). May 6, 1929. Vacuum tubes.-The anode consists of two plates arranged on either side of a grid and connected together by a strap which extends over the grid and is connected to and insulated from the grid by one or more members. In the valve shown, a screening grid 3 consists of wire wound around four supports 5 and is covered at the top by a metal plate 6, and supported on a flanged disc 7. The cathode and control grid, not shown, are mounted inside the screening grid. The anode plates 4 are connected together by a strap 12, which is connected with a rod 5 bv members 17 insulated by a glass bead 19, and with the disc 7 in a similar way. The strap is connected with a terminal 14 on the top of the bulb.
