Dust-bins. - To enable a dustbin, after the lid has been removed, to be transported and emptied without the contents falling or being blown out, a shoot 2 of canvas or other flexible material is secured to the mouth of the dustbin 1 by a cord 3 provided at its ends with engaging hooks 4 and falls over, as shown, to form a closure for the dust-bin. A spring 5 may be embodied in the cord 3. One of the hooks 4 may be replaced by an eye or ring and the shoot 2 may be faced on its inner surface. with rubber.
