Abstract
329,540. Pinder, G. M., and Mills, S. J. June 15, 1929. Indicating and locating leaks. - A leakage indicator for sloping pipe lines comprises a chamber A on which are mounted two gauge glasses B which communicate with the chamber through cocks A4 and which are associated with a scale E and sliding indices F. The device may be located in a man-hole and be attached by a connection A, to the lower closed end of a pipe H. The pipe H is filled with water and one of the cocks is then closed, leakage being indicated by a fall in the open gauge glass. The leakage may be located, knowing the gradient of the tested pipe.
