Leathers, ventilating. - Sweat-bands are detachably mounted in hats, helmets or the like by eyes d of spring metal in the form of a slot with convex sides adapted to offer slight resistance to the passage of a stud member from a broad part d' of the slot to a narrow part d<11> of the slot. The co-operating head e may be of rubber or of metal or of rubber covered metal. Preferably, the slot members are secured to the crown a of the hat and the stud members to the sweat-bands c, but this arrangement may be reversed.
