Clips, pivoted-jaw.-Clips for securing labels &c. on railway wagons have the lower portions of the side arms b of the pivoted wire frame strengthened by channel members a. The side arms, or as shown, the lower ends e of members a may be extended below the inturned pivot portions c of the frame on which are mounted the usual springs f, the portions e contacting with the face of the wagon, or of a back plate, not shown, to limit outward movement of the frame and the arms b of the frame may be cranked inwardly at h to facilitate gripping of the label &c. by the upper portion of the frame.
