Abstract
328,440. Livon, F. April 26, 1929. Cells.-Glass cells are provided with means for joining them together and for absorbing shocks. The connecting means comprise lugs 8, 9 having slots to receive tie-rods 11 fitted at their ends with nuts 12. Shocks are absorbed by rubber sheets 13 between the cells and by rubber plates 15 embracing the lower ends of the cells. The plates 15 may be provided with flanges which fit between the cells, in which case the sheets 13 may be dispensed with. The tie-rods 11 are connected at their ends by yokes 14 which may be used for attaching the battery to a vehicle &c.
