Ornamenting tiles and slabs.-The decorated surface of an asbestos-cement plate is formed by grinding the surface and then brushing it with a wire brush to remove the dust from the pores of the ground surface before spraying or otherwise applying a coat of colour and finally polishing the coloured surface. Heating and beating may be used to supplement the wire-brush treatment.
