Abstract

327,325. Esdaile, H. F. May 22, 1929. Bourdon pressure gauges. - The back wall 1 is hinged or otherwise removably connected to the gauge and normally held closed by a spring 3 or other yielding means so that if the tube bursts the back is blown open and danger to the stoker or other operator avoided. The spring 3 is formed with a slight protuberance 4 which engages a hole or recess in the casing. The back wall 1 is hinged to ears 8 on a mounting block 9 for the tube 11 the block being formed with curved extensions 14 to fit the interior of the casing to which it is secured and in one with a screw spigot 12 and nut member 13 by which the gauge is connected into circuit.
