Abstract

327,074. Barlow, T. M., and Lyon, G. July 5, 1929. Density separators.-A steam separator for use on aircraft, motor cars and the like has a chamber a with flat rear and bottom walls g, h; the front and side walls merge together in a continuous curved surface partly spherical at the top. A curved partition j with louvres formed by punching out tongues is fixed in the chamber The inlets b, b<1> are arranged above the partition and spread the mixture over the front and side walls. The water is separated by centrifugal action and passes to the outlet c while the steam passes through the openings in the partition to the outlets e which are arranged beneath the upper part of the partition.
