Trestles.-A folding trestle consists of an upper horizontal member a having a fixed upright at each end, an intermediate trestle supporting frame d of substantially A-shape, the apex of the A being pivoted at e to the member a, and a lower horizontal member g formed with notches h which house parts of the frame d when the latter is in an inoperative position, so that it may lie flush. The frame d is retained at right angles to the frame a, b by a locking device such as a hook j and eye k. The cross member of the frame d may be pivoted at e<1> to the lower horizontal member g.
