Abstract

326,808. Cooper, A. J. Dec. 19, 1928. Stoppers secured by clamping-devices.-In capsule closures of the ' Crown-cork ' type in which the flange is slit a short distance to form a series of gripping fingers, the ends of the fingers 14 are outwardly and upwardly directed to prevent them from injuring a hand when removing the closure from a vessel. A washer 17 is provided in the closure, and the slits may extend completely or partly around it. The closure may be domed outwardly.
