Abstract

339,574. Bergius, W. M. March 19, 1930. Capsules and like closures.- In a bottle closure of the type including a stopper provided with a head of which the periphery coincides with that of the bottle neck, and a soft metallic capsule 3 enclosing the stopper head and the upper part of the bottle neck and having a perforation 4 in its upper face and a row of slots 5 in its circumferential face, the capsule is provided with two incisions 6 each extending from the perforation to a slot and defining the boundary of a sector which, being separated from the remainder when the stopper has been removed, facilitates the complete removal of the portion of the capsule removed with the stopper.
