Endless-belt conveyers. - Fabrics for conveyer belts for drying-machines &c., particularly for paper-making machines, have cotton, wool, asbestos, &c., spun round or woven with a core or base of agave such as sisal henequen, tampico, aloe, Mauritius hemp, &c., which makes the fabric strong, flexbile, porous and resistant to heat, moisture, acids and other chemicals. The cotton, wool, asbestos &c., may form anupper layer or may wholly cover the agave. In one form a smooth surfaced asbestos layer has its warp or weft interwoven with a lower agave layer.
