Closure members, rotary conical.-A rotary tubular tapered valve member 22 for use in apparatus in which separate dry foam-forming chemicals are supplied by hoppers 6 to a pair of water pipes 2 for producing foam for fireextinguishing purposes surrounds and rotates upon a stationary plug 15 mounted within a tapered opening 16, the plug 15 being formed with inlet and outlet ports 24, 25 for the water and an inlet port 26 for the chemical so arranged that movement of the valve member will open the water ports before the chemical port, and close the latter before the water ports are closed.
