Closets, flushing; seat action water-waste preventers.-A flushing valve 5, Fig. 1, interposed in a pipe 4 is rigidly connected to the seat and is fully open when the seat 2 is at an angle of 45‹. The valve may be a plug cock utilized to form a seat hinge, or may consist of a slide movable in an arcuate casing as shown in Fig. 8.
