Abstract

325,701. Cahill Carton Corporation. Oct. 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Satchels. - A collapsable carton of satchel formation formed from a single blank comprises a bottom 14, Fig. 3, ends 13, the upper parts of which are laterally collapsable, sides 10, 11 which are flexible at their upper portions so that they may be bent towards each other, and a closure flap 15 adapted to engage slots 12 in the side 11. A carrier tape, &c., B is arranged as shown. The blank is shaped, slotted and creased as shown in Fig. 6, the bottom being secured by tongues 31, 32 engaging slots 33. 34 and the carton being secured in set-up formation by glueing &c. a flap 19 to a. wall 11. The carton is collapsed by disengaging the tongues 31, 32 of the bottom and displacing the side walls laterally with respect to each other. The carton may be used for flowers, clothing, lunches, shoes, or toilet articles.
