325,276. Bayley, J. P., and Guest, Keen, & Nettlefolds, Ltd. Nov. 16, 1928. Sleepers, integral with chairs. - Sleepers are pressed to form a plurality of isolated projections or depressions engaged by the cast metal of the chair. The heads may have a neck of reduced cross-section engaged by the other member. The heads mav be of tapered or conical form and may be perforated, Fig. 4, or imperforate, Fig. 1. Insulating material may be placed between the chair and the sleeper. With sleeper projections, the cast chair may be flush with the under-surface of the sleeper. One of the Provisional Specifications states that the heads may be independent and be welded or riveted to the sleeper.
