Abstract

356,729. Securing railway rails to sleepers. GUEST, KEEN, & NETTLEFOLDS, Ltd. and BAYLEY, J. P., Cwmbran Works, near Newport, Monmouthshire. June 7,1930, No. 19518/31. Divided on 356,756. [Class 104 (ii).] The clips 26 for securing rails to sleepers are formed partly or wholly from insulating material, and an insulating pad 28 may be arranged between the rail and the sleeper or chair. The clip may be reinforced with a metal &c. cone 36 of various forms. The pad may have beaded edges to engage the side of the rail foot and/or the chair or sleeper. The web and foot of the rail and the clips, keys &c., may be coated with an insulating substance.
