Abstract
324,802. Stutzer, W. I. Jan. 24, 1929. Gill boxes; combing-machines.-Wool and vegetable fibres are drawn and combed on opposite sides alternately by contact with a series of drums 12, 13 and 14, Fig. 1, which are driven at increasing peripheral speeds from first to last and whose surfaces have the same direction of motion at their points of contact. Comb-like needles 9 are secured upon axes 15, Fig. 3, adapted to be oscillated about the covering line of the drum by means of lever arms 16 guided in a stationary groove 8 of controlling discs 10. Specifications 16944/87 and 207,008 are referred to.
