Abstract

323,922. Newman, Hender, & Co., Ltd., and Newman, C. P. Jan. 8, 1929. Hand-wheels for steam valves &c. are provided at the periphery with cooling-pins. Substantially-circular fins 4 extend radially from an inner rim 3 of substantially - ovel cross - section and may be integral with a similar outer rim 5. The fins may be inclined or otherwise formed to increase the radiating-surface, and either or both rims may be interrupted to allow for expansion. Directionindicators may, as shown, be provided on plates integral with the wheel.
