Abstract

323,011. Ellis, G. B., (Chemical Works formerly Sandoz). Aug. 16, 1928. Cellulose acetates.-Cellulose mono-and diacetate fibres obtained by direct acetylation of cellulose without structural alteration are subjected after drying to treatment with aliphatic carboxylic acid, e.g. formic, acetic, or butyric acids or their aqueous solutions which act as swelling agents enabling dyeing to be effected with a wide range of dyestuffs.
