Abstract

Delirery of articles stored in piles ; coin action, weight. - A coin, in its fall in a coin shoot 25, strikes against the lower end of a pivoted bar 22, which projects into the shoot, and disengages, against an adjustable counterweight 27 mounted on the same pivot, a pawl 18, which normally engages one of four equi - distant teeth 17 on a ratchetwheel 16, thus enabling a wheel 13, having four vanes 14, which project into a supply tube 3 through an opening, to be turned in a counterclockwise direction through a quarter of a revolution under the weight of a column of packets of goods in the form of rolls 4, such as film rolls, lying horizontally in the supply tube 3. The lowermost roll 4, on rotation of the vanes 14, slides into an appropriately positioned pocket 34 on a drum 33, which is rotated through an idle wheel 30 by a toothed wheel 15 on the axis of the wheel 13 and housed at one side of the supply tube 3. The drum 33 is thus turned through a quarter of a revolution to bring the packet contained in the upper of its four pockets opposite an opening 2 in the front of the machine casing through which it may be removed.
