Abstract

357,618. Pocket containers for pills &c. SACERDOTE, G. M., Bayside, New York, U.S.A. June 13, 1930, No. 18200. [Class 18.] A pocket magazine c o n - tainer for delivering pills, tablets, &c. of substantially round outl ine comprises two substantially parallel side walls connected by a peripheral wall and enclosing a winding tubular chamber formed by partitions which lead to an outlet in one of the walls, the cross section of the chamber substantially corresponding with the cross section of the article. Delivery mechanism may be employed comprising a sliding spring-controlled shutter 21, Fig. 3, and a pivoted two-armed lever 26 which directs the article through the discharge opening. In an alternative form, shown in Fig. 5, a spring shutter 48 carrying a bent rod 61 rotates a star-wheel 59 which delivers an article. Reverse motion of the star-wheel is prevented by a spring stop 56. The shutter may. be omitted and one or both sides of the container may be of transparent material such as celluloid.
