Frying-ranges; casings.- -A cooking-range, adapted in the form shown for frying, is constituted of moulded concrete or like units cemented or otherwise joined together, and comprising a hollow block 1 defining a heat-chamber 2 and a flue chamber 16 which is separated from it by an apertured firebrick 13, together with an end panel 26, in which is formed the firing opening, 'and a top panel 20 having an opening 21 for the pan or utensil 22. The double range shown is formed of two such ranges placed end to end, the two flue chambers 16 forming a common chamber in which is placed a fire-brick baffle 19, and which is roofed by a plate 31 which carries a pan 33. Bolts 34 passing through tubes cast in the blocks secure the blocks 1 together. The range shown is provided with a top panel 30, which, together with the end panels 26, may be faced with tiles. The fire bars 7 are supported on cross-bars 6 carried in recesses 5 in ledges 4 formed in the block 1. The sides of the firechamber and the aperture 15 leading to the fluechamber 16 are lined with firebrick.
