Abstract
322,330. Hunt, R. Nov. 24, 1928. Boxes made from special blanks; partitioned boxes.- A folding egg box comprises an outer trough-shaped sheath 1, a plurality of cross partitions 3 engaging in slots 2 in the sheath, and a separate longitudinal partition 5, preferably of inverted V-form, engaging the cross partitions. Thest. partitions, which are adapted to fold centrally when the box is collapsed, are preferably formed with a central recess 6 at the bottom and two substantially vertical slots 7 to retain them in position, while the longitudinal partition is slotted on its under edges to engage the slots 8 in the cross partition 5. The wings 9 of the sheath fold over the box and the flaps 10 are tucked into the slots 8, or alternatively one wing only might be used, or the wings might be held in place by a tongue and slot connection.
